 Any ideas on the rut for Bandera?

I know it's all guess work but my dad is going to fly here for a few days at some before Christmas. I'm trying to aim for the height of the rut so there's a chance on seeing a buck chasing a doe.
Ideas?

Rut in Bandera county is full swing around thanksgiving
For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

Depends on where at in the county. I have seen them in full rut in the SE portion of the county on opening weekend on general season. Southern part of the county next to Medina more of the mid November to Thanksgiving time frame.

I would think it would be about over by then. May be a doe or two that comes back into heat but the majority will already be bred. I am starting to see signs of activity here. A few rubs here and there and the Bucks have pretty well split up. Also not coming to the feeders like they were.

I would think it would be about over by then. May be a doe or two that comes back into heat but the majority will already be bred. I am starting to see signs of activity here. I hunt a few miles north of town and all the bucks were still bachelored up as of Saturday

You'll probably get several different answers, but I owned several acres about 8 miles south of Bandera toward Hondo that I hunted for 20 years, and over those years it was around the middle of Nov. and some heavy rut activity around Thanksgiving.
It can vary a week or two either way.

Once i learned that i didn't "NEED" to kill something, and that if i did kill something all the fun stopped and work began, i was a much better hunter.
