So you want a duck mount along with a shotgun worked into the mount? How does that work? Do you make it a dead mount and have like a scene with a shotgun and maybe some calls hanging? Trying to picture what you are asking about here.

I have an old sxs that needs some cleaning up(pretty heavy rust). It was given to me by a friend. I have always wanted to put in like a big shadow box with a dead mount

I have an old sxs that needs some cleaning up(pretty heavy rust). It was given to me by a friend. I have always wanted to put in like a big shadow box with a dead mount or you could re-furbish it, get some black-powder equivalent shells(I'd use 2 1/2in to make sure the chamber is not too short) and shoot a duck.... all based on a profesional gunsmith wise to old black powder guns, of course....

I have an old army surplus wooden box that I filled with old decoys, calls, shellboxes, and a hat, then put an old side by side on top, get lots of compliments on it. Technically not a mount but a display.
