I have never used them, I have no idea as to how good or bad they are. I have been there for coyote contests, seemed like a pretty nice bunch of people.

Clear form is tasty used them before, bit pricey but solid product; I don't like that they don't make jerky.
Thanks

X2 on Bridgeport guns&ammo & processing.

Clear Fork is certainly convenient.

Hunter's Choice in Sanger isn't too far out of your way.

Clear Fork is under new ownership. We dropped off 3 deer there today, new management seems like they are eager to please.

Im not sure on the processing deal, but if he runs that like he does his guns and ammo bidness, I can see why people wouldn't want to use him. He is also a Richard noggin to boot.

Bridgeport Guns and Ammo sent me home with under cooked summer sausage that had a bad smell. I returned it and while I observed the high school kids they had hired doing the processing, the nice lady that I believe was the owner told me "that's how it's supposed to look". When I asked her if this was also the way it was supposed to smell I was told they had no control over how the meat smelled. Lonestar Cobra is spot on about the gun shop owner.

His kids help out there but they are lazy. It's just not a "friendly" atmosphere.

Open up "Famous Poison Ivies Wise County Processing" this year David. I will bring beer and drink it while giving you pointers on your work.

Hell, I'm too lazy to process mine every time. I usually do but occasionally, I farm it out. Besides, then I'd have to deal with all the whiney hunters. popcorn

You might try Neal's Taxidermy in Whit just East of 281 on FM52 about 35 minutes East of Graham. I have used him for years and the meat quality is pretty good and his Taxidermy is top notch.

If you are having any grind done...You are NOT gonna get your own deer back period, they may tell you that but realistically it is just not going to happen. We have been doing our own processing for years and never looked back, I have heard good things about Clear Fork and they are under new ownership and any Taxi work up that way...Nate at Tagged Out Taxidermy is the only way to go up Good Luck

Its not near Graham or Bridgeport, but Hess Meat Market in Muenster will do your deer individually, I have been in there and seen them put each deer into tubs and do it. Fischers in Muenster does good, but if you get grinded products you will get community deer.

Thanks everyone. Really just looking for a butcher. I like to make the sausage myself. I know Muenster is good just don't want to do the drive since I drive back to the mess (DFW) on 380.
Clear Fork may be getting a try or maybe Backyard if I get one worth a taxi.
I have heard nothing good about that one in Bridgeport so thanks for confirming.
cheers

If butchering is all you need, Browning's in Jacksboro will take care of you. He is on Hwy 4 about a mile South of 380.
