I plan on cooking a whole domestic pig Friday. It weighs about 40 lbs. any suggestions on how to cook it? I have Friday off so I have all day to cook it

salt, black pepper, garlic powder and onion powder ... apple juice in a spray bottle works well to keep things moist. That's about as simple recipe as you can get. You can go way farther out of your way with additional spices and additions to the mop sauce as you want.

Sorry no pics. I did take pictures however my dang phone crashed and I lost everything on it. The pig turned out great. I took the skin off because I didn't have time to get the hair off. I would have preferred to cook it skin on but did not have time on this one. I put it on for about 7-8 hours at 200-225 and injected it with apple juice, apple cider, vegetable oil and kept it mopped with the same mixture. Seasoned it with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and a little Tony's.

pressure washer and propane torch will take the hair off pretty well ... for next time. Easier than skinning them.
