And just how much cash I wonder can you turn a stolen game camera into? Not like you are going to be able to retire on it or anything like that.

A deer camp I was on with a group got burlarized several years ago. They came in the night after season ended. We are guessing they had been watching us, and knew that when we left we hadn't gotten everything out yet. They took everything that wasn't bolted down or welded in place. They got into two of our campers, and did significant damage in breaking the doors, and tearing electronics off walls, let alone the items they took.
In my case, when I say they took everything, I mean it - toaster, coffee maker, DVDs, cheapo silverware, propane canisters, flashlights, AAA and D batteries, hats, etc. When we tallied up among the group, it was in excess of $30,000 to replace and repair the damage. I asked the investigator why they would bother with silverware, or old DVDs, and he had one answer - Meth!!! According to the cop, meth has gotten so cheap to produce, that selling 20 DVDs at a swap meet for $1 each will buy enough meth for a pretty action packed weekend. He also said that during the burglary they had gone through all of the cabinets in the bathrooms looking for prescription pills, and even over the counter meds that can be used in meth production. And evidently, that is also why they took the batteries and propane canisters.
Sucks!

this would be a good time to install those automatic cell phone game cameras if there was any service there. Those that text or email you pictures real time. At least you would have hard evidence at hand to take to the LEO/GW.
I also like the metal box ideas but I suspect the meth head might have a crowbar or find something to pry those off a tree

Don't believe ive ever seen a carport over a feeder. Funny on the car port, good eye. I set that feeder up there to replace the solar panel and test it for a few days and it just stayed there all year. It will be moved. As you can see they still stop by for a snack. Can't stop laughing. New Hunter

I have only lost memory chips.
That could be because I only buy cheap cameras.
