I'll be in the market for a good rug maker coming up in October. I might not have the cape back home with me until November but I'll know more as the season approaches. Looking for someone with a fair amount of experience working with rugs within an hour or two drive from the DFW.
This will be my first bear rug so I've got a few questions. What is average cost? What are some steps I should or shouldn't make in the field to ensure a good rug. Open or closed mouth rug?
Would love to some pics to get an idea of the direction I want to go. I don't have room in the house for a full mount so It'll have to be a rug, but I want it to be a nice one that will last a long time.

Haven't had it in years but never spit any out. I am a sucker for happy endings and strapped cowboys.
