Looking for a grazing lease (or two or three) preferably in South Texas or within an hour or so of San Antonio/Beeville.

Need about 1,000 acres minimum, will be running about 1 head per 20 acres to avoid overgrazing. Have about 130-150 head that I need to relocate, so the more the merrier as far as I'm concerned up to about 3,000 acres. Pens and all the fancy stuff would be nice, but can work with the landowner to do improvements so long as the contract is long enough. Main thing I would need are pasture divisions and a water well somewhere on the property if there aren't many ponds.

I run them in divided herds of 25, so I would be able to work with a smaller piece of 400+ acres as well depending on the vegetation.

From what I hear, up North they have a problem finding a place small enough to afford since you can run them 1-2 acres per head. I'd love to have that problem, lol.

I charge $20/acre west of DFW , is that high ?

Normal going rate in my area is $15/head/ month.

Depends on how much that acre supports.

Down here we pay anywhere from $5-10/acre and once we get further north we pay around $20. The places we have in beeville will do 2 acres per head, places down here in Laredo could only dream of that and are maybe 10-15 acres per head at best.
