I have had mountain lion before and found it to be pretty tasty. There might have been a beer or two to help wash it down though.

do you eat wild hog, they eat anything they come across. cat is usually a little more selective in what they eat.

Buddy of mine was in a crappie house early one morning, and some of the locals started jawing about 'what's the worst thing you ever ate'. Some Depression-era elderly woman ended the conversation when she said 'I ate skunk one time!'.

I'm sure if I was hungry enough I'd eat a bobcat, but I'd have to be pretty damn hungry to do it.

I am not squeemish.. ate armadillo once when I was a kid and my dad shot one, felt guilty because he had always taught us to eat what we kill.

BUT...

It comes down to, "if I am hungry, I'll eat it...but if I can drive down the road and buy a burger.. well, I am not THAT hungry yet"

lol

Chickens and catfish pretty much eat everything they runs across also, but I will eat for days on chickens and catfish before I get hungry enough to eat a bobcat. Would bobcat be a step up or a step down from a domestic cat?

My brother ate cat while in Japan on deployment. He said, "Kinda weird to look at skinnned but tasted surprisingly good." Id try bobcat if someone who knew how to cook it offered it to me.

Bobcat have pretty white meat and is one of the animals that as a youngster would let my hounds have after they treed or caught one on the ground. I would pull the hide off the hindlegs and cut meat off the legs and rump and give the dogs a little reward. The same is true on a lion, my dogs don't give a dang about a coon but like lion meat as well.
I have never eaten either one but must admit that it looks pretty good and doesn't have a bad odor.
Adios,
Gary

Never had bobcat but I can say that groundhog is one of the greasiest meats I have ever eaten.
