Has anyone had any experience loading with these bullets?

No but now i wanna try em. For the last year ive been relentlessy pursuing a 100 yd moa load with a 90gr xtp and pistol powder. Its hilariously quite, and at 50 consistent moa.

A couple of things. It's a coated bullet, so it will act differently than a jacketed bullet. Also, the coatings can flake off, and blow back into the gas ports of an AR.
Since it is a non-jacketed bullet, try it as a super first (1200-1300 fps) and make sure it's stable. Work your speeds down and keep watching for stability. Some lead bullets require more twist to stabilize properly. At sub speeds, this could be a good bullet once you worked up a load for it.

Thanks Chad I didn't even catch the coated lingo, was thinking it was a jacketed. I wish someone would produce a cheaper jacketed 200+gr plinking bullet for 300BO reloading!!!!

Talked to a Berry's rep a few years ago about this possibility. Chad is right about potential of flaking in the gas port and believe it would be even more likely if the bullet is crimped. Most Berry's bullets are pretty soft lead and can crimp into the bullet but that leaves a ring that can increase the chance of flaking off some of the plating from what I have seen on plated bullets, at least on a few I pulled.

Kinda steep for a coated lead bullet really. I have used the MBC bullets with Hi Tek coating, about half the price of the Berrys. With the MBC's I had good luck with 2400. I would imagine it would work well with the Berry's. I was down around 8.4 grains out of a 10" barrel and cycling well.
