I'd love to get my hands on the new Monster XLR8!

Hoyt or Bowtech??? I have buddies that shoot Bowtechs...they love them. I personally found them just slightly above average as far as smoothness. I'd still have to lean towards a Hoyt if I had to make the decision.

As you can see by the coments the Brand or Model does not mean it's a "one size fits all" you have to find what works best for you. God made All of us Different so theres no right or wrong or best or worst. I know guys who shoot Bear and PSE and are more happy with there set up than guys who went out and bought the best becuase of Hype. Good luck and havs fun serching for "YOUR" perfect bow.

the best thing you can do for yourself is find a good bow shop who has the knowledge and willingness to help fit you.

Well just to ease your mind, its the hoyt, but I am going to shoot the reezen, x force, z28 and alien-x. Didn't like the dxt, and I've shot the x force, but want to give it another shot. I am working on shooting all though, but the am32 is awesome.

another update. Shot the x-force and reezen today. The pse is definetely a fast bow, but to hard of a draw for me. The reezen was very nice as well. Both were set a 70 lbs, and the reezen wwas by far easier to draw than pse. Then i shot the AM 32, all i can say is wow again. TO ME, i blew both out of the water. It was much quieter, and it was bare bow, and the reezen and x-force were decked out. Still have yet to shoot the z-28, but i'm going to give it a shot, and i highly doubt i'll ever be able to shoot the alien. Now if i was looking for speed, i'd probably shoot the x-force, but the AM has plenty of speed to begin with. And by no way am i bashing, this is my personal opinion.

I like the way you are choosing

Can't wait to see what you think about the Z28

If your major concern is the draw cycle don't go any further. The Alphamax has everyone beat on the silky smooth draw cycle. I haven't shot a bow that e ven comes remotely close besides the bowtech admiral and there was still a noticible difference. My hunting partner bought a AM32 on saturday and with a 402 grain hunting arrow 28 inch draw at 68 lbs he is shooting 298 fps. Not bad, definately not the fastest out there, but pretty good for such a smooth draw. I haven't liked a Hoyt in years, but the AM sure has impressed me.

I decided against the admiral when i was at the bow shop and the arrow was bouncing off the rest. They said it was a really cheap rest, but the AM or PSE for that matter didn't jump off, but the admiral did.

I will say that the x-force was pounding the arrows into the target though.

Yeah it's hard not to notice the massive amounts of kinetic energy that the x Force produces, I do give up a little on having a smooth draw cycle, but to me it's not all that bad. I have shot a lot worse. The PSE Bowmadness has a nice draw cycle as well. My hunting patner says it has a spongy back wall. I didn't notice it when I shot it, so I am going back to shoot it again and look and see if I missed it. But the Alphamax sure has impressed me. I have been a Hoyt basher for years and they seemed to have shut my mouth with this bow. I wish it was faster, but dang the draw cycle sure has me impressed, and it's dead quiet too. If it's not the best, it is right up there with the best now bow produced this year.

I am shooting a Diamond "black ice" and its quiter than Mathews and smmmoootthhh on the draw. Short cam to cam, works great in tight places. Has all the speed I need and was deadly accurate from the get-go. Just my 2-cents...The new Diamond Iceman is the new and improved version, and has been the choice of the pros in side-by-side test (Outdoor Magazine) check it out. It's pricey...if you want this years best, But if you look at last years models, you can usually get better deal for just as good a bow.

I shot a hoyt for a few years and this past season i decieded to upgrade. The Hoyts i looked at were out of my price range. The owner of peacock archery in belton showed me the new x force SS. I do not like any of the PSE bows i have shot, but I walked out the door with the SS. Small light, fast and alot of power, the only prob i had in the beginnig is at full draw the string wanted to jump, but you get used to it. go with what fits you tho

Both are great bows, It is all about how they feel to you. I personally just bought the Alpha Max 32 Bone collector edition. I have shot matthews up until now. The Hoyt was a much better feel to me than the Mathews Reason.

there is a guy named crackers that has good prices. I suggest buying at a local pro shop though. It cost aroun 700-850 for the bow, just depends where you find one at.

I've never been big on Hoyt (Always to heavy) but the new Alpha Max are awesome. Probably will be my next bow.
