Rifles it is between 2
Marlin 1894LSS 16 inch stainless 357, this has been my main truck gun for about 10 years and don't see that changing.
CZ 527 in 6.5 Grendel customized by Scott Weichel, is the one I shoot most often. Balance is fantastic as is accuracy for such a light handy package.

Used to be my Rem 700 7mm Rem mag for the longest time. One year (After 20 years) the base screws came loose and I lost confidence in it. Shoots awesome now that I fixed the problem but I don't shoot it other than at targets. After that issue I started using the Weatherby Vanguard 308 for hunting. Love the rifle and it shoots great. Now I have a 6.5 Grendel and a 458 Socom so I'll likely use those this year. But my go-to rifle for hunting is the .308 for now.
It is far more important to be able to hit the target than it is to haggle over who makes a weapon or who pulls a trigger.

For just shooting a CZ550 Varmint .308. That thing is just boringly accurate, but it's like carrying around an anvil. For hunting, right now it's a Winchester M70 Featherweight in .308. There's a chance it would by my CZ 550FS in 6.5 Swede, but that Mannlicher stock is just so pretty I worry about it too much in the woods. I definitely married up with that one.

Mine is an AR15 in 6.8 SPC with a 1-6 Vortex on top. It loves the 120 SST pills.

While I ave a variety of bolt action rifles, my current favorite is a LA 444 Marlin. I grin every time I shoot it. I have onl tested it to 250 yards so far, but it is good for anything from mouse to mastadon.
Favorite handgun is 45 Colt. Have it in Ruger Blackhawk and Uberti Hombre. The Uberti is my bumming around gun.

Love the 92. My current favorite is a Rossi M92 short rifle in 45 Colt. It has a Marbles tang sight with Merit #4 hunting aperture which makes it a very quick handling brush gun.

I pick a new favorite every year. Usually the one I shoot the best with at the range becomes my go to for the year. Last couple years it has been a 243 savage 114. Rem sendero is always in the running as well.

For rifle it would be an AO 308 and pistol would be sig tac ops 1911 45acp

Currently it's between 3 of my rifles, my 2-T3's, one in .30-'06 (165 gr. handloads) and one in 7mm-08 (was my wife's until I found her a Model 7 in .243 that she likes better. 140 gr. handloads.) and my Browning XBolt in .270 Win. (Factory 130 gr. CoreLokts, experimenting with 150 gr. handloads.) Then there's the Garands...

For just shooting it would be a Rem 700 BDL 22-250 but I really like the 7oo BDL 30-06. Both very accurate.
