High fence deer are more respectable, but I wont fault anyone for wanting to shoot a free range deer!! Free range deer just aint my cup of tea!!

It means that I think deer behind a high fence are much more of a challenge to hunt than free range deer! That makes them more respectable in my opinion!

i have tried it.... and it went like this, throw out corn, deer come running, u pick out which one u want to shoot, video it, go to camp, make sure it is one that can be taken, and then go back and after a couple hunts u will see it again and u shoot it. For free range deer, u see the same buck maybe 3 times a season if you are lucky! deer are much less dense, much more timid and alert to your behavior, deer arent use to seeing people or vehicles, they can get away over a fence. now im not puttin any thing against hunting behind a fence, because i liked it, but not for one second do i agree that high fenced deer are a tougher hunt. ill give u an example of why i think it is easier in a high fence. On my land that is low fenced, i stalked a buck and was getting ready to shoot, and he hopped the fence!! uh oh!! so i set up and begin to rattle a lil bit, grunt some, after about 30 or 40 min, he came back outta the neighbors brush, hopped the fence coming to my call. And i passed him up to keep as a breeder buck. neighbors mightve killed him though idk, and it is ok if they did. Vs in the similiar situation on a high fenced property, deer goes into brush, you go into brush, been there done that, helped my uncle drop a big buck that way, both are fun. but high fenced is def easier, those bucks didnt care about us unless we were within about 100yds

You just described my hunt this year! The only exception is that the deer was photographed (not videoed), and I only had to wait untill that evening to kill him! Tons of fun, and much more challenging than low/no fence!!
I am going to do it again in November!!
