Guys,
I'm curious how many rounds you load at a time for different purpose firearms?
Example:
Pistols - 9mm .357 .45
Rifles - Small Game Rifle ex: 22-250 Deer Rifle ex: .270 Target Rifle Etc
Home Defense
Thanks,

100% depends on the situation but typically in 100 or 50 count batches for pistol, target or varmint ammo. For hunting sometimes 20 sometimes 50 depending on how low I am.

as said ^ ^ ^ it depends on what it is. proven hunting rifle rounds as few as 5 or 10 sometimes. you really should only need 1 per deer. i load them mainly to refill the box for enough for foul/zero check and a few to hunt with. last time i loaded g.p. cast pistol rounds i loaded 1500 for the firearm they were for.

Grandkids shot up most of my ammo last month. I loaded up about 300 9mm, 200 38's, 200 357's, and 400 223's. I am officially restocked...for now.

I don't get too much ahead on actual ammunition loaded although I have quite a few 9mm's and .223's. On others for Hunting Target type stuff 50-80 rounds. Now the stuff it takes to load plenty I tend to overdo. I am ready and prepared to suffer thru whatever Hillary throws out there.

Depends on the gun, what I have time to load, and what is coming up. Last time I loaded was two weeks ago before a match. Loaded 350 rounds weighing every charge on a Chargemaster, because that's what I needed.
7 Rem Mag gets brought out for special occasions, so if I have a full or half full box of 50, I'm good.

At this point I only reload for my .308 target/hunting rifle and for a Mosin Nagant. I load up 40 or 50 at a time; but I also keep quite a bit of factory ammo tucked away just in case.

With pistol loads I usually load.until I run out of materials. On proven rifle loads I try to load.100.at a time. I completely prep my rifle.brass and prime all of it Because I use a turret press I powder and seat in consecutive operations. To me it makes it faster safer and more.consistent

I load about 25 rounds for each rifle, I normally take about 4 rifles when I head out to the range twice or 3 times a month. If taking one or two rifles, I'll load more. I am curious to see Chad's post on here.

Hunting cartridges I'll usually have 100-200 of a proven load ready. Plinking cartridges - 50-200. Limited by supplies and time 357 - 100 38 spcl - 100 shotgun - 12 ga - 1000 20 gauge - 1500

I might have a little bit of obsession with reloading. I tend to reload all the brass I have sitting around. Between 9mm,.45, and .223 I have close to 7,000 rounds. Range gold makes it impossible to keep up. Go and shoot 200 rounds and come back with 600 pieces of brass. win...win for me.

No one has mentioned loading conditions. I'm stuck in the garage. Same as most 100 per trip to the press. Max is 500 on a weekend but only have an SS press. But with high Texas humidities and heat I hit it hard in the fall and winter. Worst case is brass prep in summer. Maybe some day the Boss will let me in the house.

Triple digits. +2 I usually do mine in 200-300 intervals because of the heat in my garage. I know the boss will never let me in the house. If I am doing rifle loads I usually break it into stages and do 50-100 per trip. I agree case prep is the worst.

I have a room upstairs that's my load room. My wife has been extremely supportive and in fact has bought me three separate presses along with other reload components. Right now I'm pretty much working on brass prep up to priming so they'll be ready for the final two steps when needed. As for my loading, I'm pretty much loading pistol rounds as I prep the brass, the last press she bought me was a Hornady progressive, and for my three main rifle I try and keep fifty rounds loaded. When I get down to about twenty I'll load up another fifty. I don't shoot, nor have I ever, competitively so I don't need to load a lot for that. I've read on here a lot of folks load .223 but other than occasionally loading for my .223 bolt I don't load for it because the ammo is pretty inexpensive to buy retail. Does it help that much for accuracy?

My wife has been encouraging me to build a shop as my reloading/ hunting gear/ is slowing taking over like kudzu. I have never considered NOT have a room in the house for reloading. Even when first married our first apartment was two bedroom one just for reloading.... That was 40 years ago last Sunday.

I feel bad for you guys as well, but as soon as a 2nd baby comes along, I'm sure I'll be out in the garage as well. No baby #2 in the planning yet so I currently have all of my stuff in our 3rd bedroom for reloading. Even though its cramped for house guests, it still works out just fine.
I'll typically load around 100-150 at a time for the 7wsm (due to short numbers of brass on hand) and normally around 40-50 for the wife's 22-250. She doesn't shoot much anymore so that'll last a year or two.

I am curious to see Chad's post on here. LOL! Which caliber are we talking about!!! When I get the Dillon 1050's tuned up just right and running like a good sewing machine, they crank out 500-700 rounds an hour (depending on caliber, generally 308 Win and 300 blk out). Run that for 6 hours press time (about a full 8 hr day's work), and you have 3000-4000 rounds loaded in 1 day. You can do the math on the rest. But I don't run these full time, every day. I'll make a large run to keep inventory up, then switch over to another caliber or press when needed. What kills your time, or labor, is making a caliber change. It takes me about 1-2 hours to make a conversion on a press. This is why I have 3 Dillon 1050's, to reduce the conversion time. One is dedicated 308 Win, one is dedicated 300 blk out and 223 (same shell plate and priming, just change the dies out), and the 3rd press is set up for 10mm and 40 cal with some 223 or 300 blk out work when needed. I do A LOT of precision ammo loaded single stage as my main ammo. You can see on my new video how I load my single stage ammo. I'll be doing a progressive press video very soon showing the Dillon 1050 presses loading ammo. Single stage ammo takes the most time and is a lot of what I load. If it's a caliber I load on a progressive press, like 223, 40 cal, 10mm, 300 blk out, or bulk 308 Win, I won't load it unless I'm doing at least 1000+ rounds at a time. If the press is already set up, I'll crank out a few hundred rounds, if needed, for something if I'm out of stock or need something specific. But if it's something out of the normal ammo, it has to be 1000+ rounds to even out the cost to be priced right.

Use to load a lot more. Now my shooting time is pretty much limited to making sure my scope is on and whatever I happen to hunt for the year. I load pistol ammo in batches of 50 and rifle by the box of 20. When all you do is check zero and hunt 20 rounds lasts too long
