I just bought a 2012 Lowe 1650 Roughneck jon boat. It has an open bow. I love the design except for the fact that there is no storage on the boat. Im trying to figure out how I want to configure the interior of the boat. I want to leave the bow as open as possible. Any ideas that you have found that work for a gun box/dry storage box would be much appreciated. Thanks ahead of time for your info.

Is there a floor at all? Cut a hatch and drop in a bin or something so the guns wont lay all the way on the hull floor where water may be. Another option may be to get some waterproof cases (pelican or similar) and bolt them in...
