I bought some panels ffrom a forum member last yr but never got around to building the blind. Got the walls assembled and temporarily together to get the base dimensions. Inside dimensions are 5'-1" x 7'-1" Got the base all welded together and windows cut out. Next I got the walls fastened to the base and started wrapping the windows with wood so no sharp edges. Already have Deerview door& windows for it.

Looks good - what kind of panels are those and how weather resistant are they? Looks like it will be a nice blind.

Here's where I got the panels. They're aluminum on both sides with 1.75" of foam in the middle. They should last a lifetime....

Got around to working on the blind yesterday. Finished triming out the windows inside and out and got the floor in. Then I got the rear wall assembled with the door installed. Then I added some 2x2 rafters to support the roof. I put a OSB sub roof to keep the metal roof from sweating if I use a heaater. Now I just need to get the corner trim installed and paint it inside and out then I'll add the R panel roof and windows. I have a window to go in the space to the left of the door but not sure if I want to put it in or not. Whats yall's opinion on a window in the back wall?

I like to be able to see 360'. You can always block the light with curtains or blinds but I vote for the window!

If I have shooting opportunities behind me a window is nice. Most of the time I like to have the back wall with no windows though to help keep from being spotted from the other side, but you can easily cover the window too.
Looks great, I really like the build!

After hearing yalls opinions I decided to put the rear window in. Got all the window edges siliconed up and ready for paint and got both the front corners trimmed out. Then I started working on the legs. Got them all laid out and cut and ready to weld up.

Got the legs welded on. Then I put the R panel on the roof. I know it normally runs up the slope but I didn't want the run off to be dripping down my neck while I was entering or exiting the door. Now I just need some dry weather to paint it. Still need to build a ladder or stairs and find a 5'x7' piece of carpet. I will install the Deerview windows once I get it to its final location.

Looks good. I like that wide base, shouldn't have a problem with that thing blowing over!

Think about carpet squares, like 2'x2'. Glue down.

Finally got it moved and set up with the windows installed. The last pic is from my bow stand looking back towards the box blind.
