One of our guys got a Mal one time that just would NOT respond to his Dutch commands...finally returned him to the vendor for a replacement, or a tune-up... Vendor says " I'm sorry...I forgot, that dog is trained in Spanish!" Sure enough, he responded right away!

it was funny watching a Texan try to learn those words... dog looked at me like i was crazy a few times My Dad trained and handled dogs for NOLA PD and Angola for years. Bloodhounds and guard/police shepherds. The last shepherd he had was a former Czechoslovakian (sp?) Police dog. You shoulda' heard that old Coonarse using Czech commands....hilarious. I think even the dog laughed a few times.

I had a German shepherd when I was on patrol from Germany all commands in German. Took a while to get use to it and folks would look at me funny talking to that dog.
