This new spot I started hunting is awesome. See hogs everyday in large groups and sounders. Havent had a boar one any where around. I know there around I probably have 60 different piglet from a few weeks old up to 30 pounders. Just curious if any one else every had this problem.

I assume you mean that you are seeing no great big boars. No doubt there are a lot of young males amongst the sounders.
Generally speaking, the larger mating boars do not travel with sounders except when one or more females are in heat. Otherwise, the females chase away the boars as they are dangerous to the young.

I have had the exact opposite observation this spring, we have been taking the 80-120 lb boars out of the different sounders and there have been lots of boars. May yielded 6 or 7 boar kills. I tend to hold off of the sows until Im ready to process meat.

Havent seen the first boar yet. Its crazy, its almost like im sitting in a nursery or something. Now i see hogs every time i go in this joint. And there out several times a day everyday in the daylight. I bow hunt only and shoot a few here and there. I have a few blinds set up and bounce around between them. And have 12 cameras set up in a about a 100 acre area. Its really gonna be fun this winter when they all get a little size to them.

You must have dog hunters in the area. On the 5000 acers I hunt on we used dogs for 6 months and caught boar after boar. I noticed toward the end when we're having long races and the hogs were getting away. Finally I realized what was going on. The guy I allowed to come hunt had decent dogs but they were not gritty enough to sit a sow down. The only thing that they could stop was boars cause boars would want to fight the dogs. Sows would just out run em. I decided then to go back to trapping and bowhunting them. Boars are starting to show up after 6months of none.

Well, the sows are not parthenogenetic. When they come into heat, you should see the big boars hanging around soon given the number of sounders and females you have. They should be coming into heat at various times.
Keep in mind that the males may not hang with the sounders, but follow behind them. If you are in the stand and a sounder comes and then leaves, you may see a male or two follow behind and hour or two later. He is just shadowing the sounder, waiting for his opportunity.

Yeah , I still can't explain why I've got 12 cameras up and not a boar one any of them. Just a crazy place. Fixin to hog bomb em and see if I can't drag one up in there...... Still a really great place to hunt tho for good eating. 13 in the last 3 weeks with a bow.

I have two unwritten rules: 1. 2.
