We have a melanistic doe in our neighborhood, born last year.

She seems to be fitting in with all of the others and doing ok.

My wife has taken to calling her Cocoa, which is accurate as she chocolate colored.

Thought others might enjoy seeing her.

Very cool looking deer. Used to see them a bunch growing up in Hays Co, especially in the Mountain City area.

I've seen two, one in Kendall county and one in Comal

They are also common in north Bexar county around Hollywood park and hill country village

They are neat

For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

A very nice pic, almost looks like a chocolate fallow. At any rate, its nice to be able to look outside and see deer in the front yard. All is see is my neighbor walking his dog and letting it crap in my yard!
