Who has tried one, specifically the 2.5-10? I'd like to know how it stacks up against other popular hunting scopes. Any comparisons or range reports would be appreciated.
Haha yea I polished that thing for hours.

Very good glass but heavy if I remember correctly, but very good glass tends to increase weight of the scope. I think the glass is on par or very close to Swaro and love that magnification range on a hunting rig

It seems like an affordable scope with glass that compares to Swarovski would have a ton of hype. That's my favorite magnification for a hunting rig too.

Meopta made the Zeiss Conquest scopes for Zeiss. When the OEM contract expired, Meopta started making them under the Meopro name. They also made the Zeiss Diascope T FL spotting scopes for Zeiss for a while. The box even had "Made in Czech Republic" on it. Meopta makes world class stuff no doubt.

Meopros are very nice scopes for the money. I have a few and have been very happy with them. The Meostar binoculars are also a great buy.

I have two of the Meopro 3.5-10x44 scopes with the #4 reticle. Bought them from Camera Land when they started the sale in 2014. They are my favorite scope and the best I can afford. I also own a pair of Meopro 10x42 HD binoculars. They are spectacular but the only binos I've owned were bubble pack so they should be spectacular.
For my eyes my Meopro scopes blow my VX-3 out of the water in low light and are slightly better than my 3-9x40 Conquest.

I have been a Leupold fan for 40+ years. I decided to try the 3.5x10x44 Meopro at the end of 2015 and was really impressed. Optics clarity excellent, low light excellent, the only thing I was not thrilled about is the plex reticle. The reticle is a little thinner than the Leupold standard plex. Very good scope for the money. You may want to give Doug a call at Camera http://cameralandny.com/spec-sheet.html?catalog

Lucky you booradley. If you ever decide you want something different please keep me in mind on the German #4.

I have the Cabelas Euro made by Meopta, it is amazing in low light. Great scope for the price.

The meopro is the the exact same scope and glass as the original quiss conquest. Its a good quality hunting scope but for a cheap price. Id have to disagree that the glass is on par with swaro though. As a mattter of fact its not even close in my opinion. But thats not a knock on the meopta just a fact that swaro has the best glass in the industry.

As I've stated before, people's eyes are different. I see better out of Meopta glass than I do Swarovski. I just don't see as well out of Swarovski as I do Meopta, Zeiss and Leupold. Other people see better out of Swarovski than Zeiss and Meopta, it's totally dependent on your eyes.
In retrospect it may look like I was bragging about getting the last two Meopro's from Camera Land that had German #4 reticles. It was not meant that way. I felt fortunate to get them. Most of my centerfire scopes have some version of a #4. I much prefer them over a duplex.

I sell scopes and firearms at Cabela's and indeed the Euro Instinct is made by Meopta. I took a Conquest to work one day to compare and I think it is the same scope as the Euro Instinct. The Meopro is different to me in that the ocular bell is larger. When the Conquest was mounted on my CZ, I used medium rings. When I mounted the Meopro I had to go to high rings because the bolt on the rifle was hitting the ocular bell with the medium rings.
