Bayhard I totally agree with you that when u hunt dogs u hunt your way bcuz you think that is the best way to do it, but I disagree on the part about catching one under 100lbs will get malled. I dont want my bay dogs to catch anything over 50lbs and I try to catch anything under 100lbs without a catchdog if possible, definately will not turn two catchdogs on anything under 200lbs

catahoola s are cow dogs and its in a dogs nature to chase any thing that runs from them be it a lab or boxer dogs in general that is a fact if you cant c m u cant stop m

I dont know..Ive hunted with rough dogs and seen how they make a hog break. If a hogs going to run, hes going to run...if the dog cant hang with it til it stops..thats a cull on my yard. I know if a dog was biting on me Id run like hell to get away, lol. Ya'll talk about a rough dog stopping the hog and all that, but my question is, how do you know the dog stopped the hog and it wasnt just that the hog was ready to stop? I'll post a video of what i like to see... Its kind of hard to see Hollywood catching up to the hog and making him spin at the end of the video...

Yes i hear you on the staying with a hog.I dont want mine catching but i do want them to get in their and stop the hog and not just bay loose and walk with the hog.Mine stay on a hog till bayed and many guys around here know when i track on a 9 and we get their its a bayed hog.Rough can go two ways straight catch or rough enough to stop and bay and fight if it comes down to it.I dont care for running catch dogs,lol

Billy I hear you on running catch dogs, if you hunt some dogs thatll go, youre just asking to get them cut down or killed if a RCD catches a bad one 1/2 mile away.

TxHoghunter... thats some good stuff with that dog putting the stop on that hog and spinning him.
