Recently I was blessed with the opportunity to hunt with a Junction City outfitter and harvested this beautiful, massive, trophy gemsbok. The critter was shot offhand at 200 yds. with a .257 weatherby , 110 gr .nosler accubond bullet…one shot..dropped in its tracks. Horns measured 42.5 inches..best meat I’ ve ever eaten.

I know a few people have stated "nice bull" but I don't see that it was a bull in the OP info. Just wondering ? I saw some 40" cows in South Africa but biggest bull I ever saw killed in my 3 trips was a 38".

Very majestic critter...if you look close you can see a small dark spot at top of left shoulder...the vitals (?), heart was not hit liver was and just behind the entry wound was good amount of meat and bone destroyed by the rapid expansion of the bullet...the 110 gr. accubond is really amazing!

looks like a big critter, body wise but sometimes the cows have longer horns than the bulls in my experience.
