Back in 2014 my dad shot a 5 bearded turkey. I've never seen one before or since. Has anyone else shot a turkey with multiple beards? [img:left] [/img] You can read the full story below. 5 Bearded Turkey

Congrats to your dad, very impressive It would have been neat to see a pic of the bird.

Killed a double bearded bird in high school. One 9" and the s cond was 2" long. Almost didn't even notice it. Haven't even killed a turkey in at least 5 years.
Your dad's is the most impressive turkey beard I have seen for sure.

We kill close to 15 birds a year in Seguin out of those I would say 65% have multiple beards. Lots of genetics for multiple beards down there. I watched this bird for two seasons and he seemed to only show when there were no clients hunting. He has 5+ beards and I believed him to be in the 33"-36" range total. He was never harvested.
