The best steak I have ever had was using a friends recipe which consisted of using orange juice, soy sauce, & worcestshire sauce as a marinade for some nice 2" thick grain fed Angus Ribeyes for 1 hr! We then seasoned them with McCormicks Montreal spicy steak seasoning and grilled them over a smokey mesquite fire! Been doing them like that ever since !

That sounds good Udaman. I normally keep it real simple and just rub koscher salt on all surfaces, let it sit out at air temperature for 30 minutes (this is important as it has something to do with oxidation I think but all cooks and good cookbooks will recommend this), and then sear it on the grill med rare. I only cook NY strips, t-bones, or filets. No sirloins for me.

I've done Filets ,T-bones , sirlon and porterhouse steaks the same way and they all come out great, but Ribeyes are special with this marinade ! Must be the marbled fat as Med rare is the ticket for sure on mesquite!

Sometimes I like a marinade but most of the time, I'm with the TXduckman. Something in that Kosher salt really makes a steak taste juicy. My neighbor is from Honduras where they have the churacaria (Brazilian BBQ). He taught me how to grill it with the Kosher salt. Just slap it on the grill, when you see blood coming to the surface on the other side, flip it over for a couple of minutes and your done. DANG, I'M GETTING HUNGRY!

I'm a real steak lover, just a good dose of pepper and then grill to med rare!

You guys try this- 1/4 cup worcestershire
1Tbls pepper
1Tbls salt
1tsp garlic powder
1tsp onion powder
1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup italian dressing
1 12oz beer
Just mix all of this together, put your steaks and the marinade in a ziplock bag and refrigerate for 24 hours. Sear over a hot mesquite fire on both sides then move to medium heat until medium-well done!Your Welcome!

A good friend of mine that's a Master Chef gave me a little insider info on steaks....he said avoid using any salts until after the steak is done...this prevents it from drying out while cooking.

Pay attention to this man! My wife and I had the pleasure of dining with Mr. and Mrs. Cooper last night in their home. What did we have you ask........Steak. Very good. Have to say some of the best I've ever eaten.

I dry brine my steaks before cooking and they get very juicy and moist.

Garlic Salt, Coarse ground black pepper, and a little Williams steak seasoning is all I use. Perfect every time. Grilled a nice prime sirloin for dinner, it was great!

Kosher or Sea Salt. Garlic powder. Coarse black pepper. Charcoal with hickory chunks. Can't buy better in a Steakhouse. Secret is a good cut of meat to start with. I like the taste of beef not marinades.

Dales is the way to go I use it on all of the meats we cook. Just don't marinate it longer than about 10 minutes on Steaks.

Take a good cut of your favorite steak and marinate it with Dales Seasoning. Lay it out in a pan and sprinkle it with Sea Salt and course black pepper. Now here is the kicker....pour Oyster Sauce on and spread it on both sides. Now you will not like the taste of oyster sauce by itself but cooked on a steak will make it the best steak you have ever had. I promise you this stuff works great! It is a natural tenderizer and adds a great flavor to the steak.
