They're the shizzle a buddy of mine got one the same day I bought my cynergy. It's a great shooting, lite weight gun. If I ever buy an auto 12 it will most likely be a a5. Good choice

I have one and love it. I thought I would never put my beretta down but once I since I started shooting the a5 at the beginning of the season I haven't touched my beretta.
I'm with GK because I like salty old dudes.

bought one new just before sept. and shot it teal hunting and only used it during duck/goose. Made the stock a little longer with shims and put some lead in it. Would rather it have a little more weight out front but its close enough. Ran about 12 cases through it this year and had one malfunction, and this is with little to no cleaning and maintenance. The bolt didn't close completely and lock one time. Overall it is a very solid gun, and I don't think anyone could go wrong with it for a hunting gun. When it was new and I was patterning an assortment of shells through it, the recoil from some of the hotter three inch loads was a little more than normal. But, I shot 2-3/4" 95% of the time anyway. Good gun

I have a Belgian A5 Light 20, made in the mid 60s. Perfect dove & quail gun.
About 10-12 years ago I took the "Shoot Where You Look" class with Leon Measures. There were about 10 of us in the class and the other guys were all carrying beautiful, very expensive over/unders. Leon walked down the line checking us all out, stopped at me and said "The last time I cried was when they stopped making that gun right there."

I'm with the other guys. Bought one a year or so ago, and I love it.

Bought one two years ago. I have hunted dove, duck, and geese with it and I like it. Low maintenance and a good fit for me.

My Dad got his A5 for Christmas in 1968, bought a new barrel with adj chokes for it around 1993. I like shooting it. My wife's father had an A5 as well. I like shooting it too.

If you will get it fit with a Jebs turkey choke I will try it out and let you know what I like about it if I get down there to hunt with you. When I can afford one I am going to get me one I have a Belgium made A5 that I really like.

Me an my brother both have one. Mine has functioned flawlessly! My brothers absolutely will not cycle 3 1/2 inch shells. He just sent it back to browning this week to get it worked on. It cycles everything else without a problem but if u threw a 3 1/2 inch she'll in, it would Fired but that's it. Now we both love the gun, and I wouldn't trade it for anything else. Absolutely sweet shooting gun.

kweber touched on this, but the only similarities between the 60s models guns and the one being referred to in the post is that they both throw projectiles outta the barrel...and they have a hump on the receiver. The hump had to be on the old guns, but IMO is simply a marketing gig on the new a5. Still a good gun though.

Tried it out yesterday for the first time. Shoots great and feels great. I had 1 3.5 hang up but other than that it shot flawlessly over 200 rounds.
