I think $300-350 is a fair price on that rifle, but the market on those has been weird the last 5 years or so. If you find someone who like it, you could probably get around $450-550. Their value really depends on the quality of components, the gunsmith who put them together, and caliber.
I had that exact scope on my spoterized mauser. It finally fell apart after about 8 hunting seasons.

I'm guessing your 7mm is a 7x57 or there-abouts. The stock is nothing fancy but is done well enough. Depending upon the condition of the barrel (bore/chamber) and, whether the barrel is factory or after market (and which barrel maker it's from) you might see $600 or so on the upper end or as low as $300.
If you do put it up for sale, put LOTS of pictures of the gun from all sides and angles. Bolt open, close-ups of any markings on the rifle (which may require pulling the scope and rings). Barrel length and any signs of rust or other dents/dings the rifle may have.
One other thing that might help is a target showing what the rifle will do on the range. 3-5 shot group should make someone happy that's looking for a 'new' rifle. Someone wanting it as a donor would like it on the lower end of the price range given.
Good luck with it.

Rifles are similar to boats and young women...there's no end to how much money you can pour into them without making them any more useful.

I'm glad you called it a 1903, that action didn't look anything like my Mauser. I was about to do more research.

That is not a Mauser . It is a 1903 US Springfield . Yup. So, exactly what caliber is it?

It would be ultra cool if it turned out to be chambered in .35 Whelen, 7mm-06,or 6mm-06. I think there should be SOMETHING stamped on the barrel indicating the chambering.

Definitely a 1903, but it is a Mauser type action. In fact, I remember reading the US got sued by Mauser for patent infringement right before WW1.

The trigger shoe is another indication that it may be more than meets the eye. Hopefully a more desirable caliber rebarrel.

Looks like a Canjar trigger. Somebody may have built up a pretty nice sporter. Proper caliber would be nice, as I would guess it was rebarreled.

The US was sued over the use of the Mauser type charger clip , not the rifle.

I'd give you $200 just to get it off your mind so that you could be done with the hassle. That's just the kind of good person I am. You're welcome.

Actually, what you have there is a 1936 Mexican Mauser...might want to research values before taking offers. Many people like to build lightweight sporters off of them. They share many similarities with a Springfield and a lot of people confuse the two. Run a quick google search and it will show you more.

Sorry, but with all due respect, I believe it is a Mexican Mauser. Small ring, intermediate length. Simple way to tell would be to pull the front base. There will be a Mexican Crest there. But, I was wrong once and could be again.

Ok, I am not seeing the oblong gas part in the left receiver wall, so I maybe mistaken. Would love to see the front receiver ring.
