No thanks. I have a rifle and I have a bow.
It is far more important to be able to hit the target than it is to haggle over who makes a weapon or who pulls a trigger.

This is extremely cool. I highly doubt it would ever be allowed for archery season. Although it would probably help reduce all the wounded deer that are never found. I think I'll buy one.

Looks more like an air gun than a bow... Glorified harpoon... If shoulder was better would stick with my bow...

This may be fun for hunting hogs, but I have to admit that I'm against the use of this during archery whitetail season. Others may disagree. Link to video

I think it is only currently legal to shoot "exotics" with in Texas as it is classified as an airgun, and to my understanding we don't have an airgun season for game animals. There's a bunch of information on the Crosman website about where you can hunt with it.
My main 2 thoughts on it: 1. Wouldn't hurt my feelings if it was legal during archery season, but only for disabled hunters. 2. Wouldn't hurt my feelings to have one.

I agree. But as I mentioned in my first post, knowing all the people I've met that bow hunt and start shooting their bow a week before they start hunting, I wouldn't mind seeing used just like a crossbow. This appears to be lighter, easier to maneuver, faster. I would rather see this type of bowhunter use this for the deer's sake.

Yes, I can't see it during archery season but I do think it would be cool during the general season.

I'm not a bowhunter, is 450 fps somewhat or significantly faster than a compound bow or crossbow? I don't know why it wouldn't fall under the same rules as a crossbow. Can you use a Crossbow during archery season?
Looks interesting...

Charlie Yes, it is faster than most bows/crossbows. They usually deliver low to mid 300's. Yes, you can use a crossbow during bow season.

Think crossbow for handicap youth, older people, tis a good thing.... General hunts tis when use my Kentucky .45, 2 months tis plenty time ta hunt... As pappy once said: i gotta be me, no one else wants the job...

If it's flingin' an arrow, don't see why it wouldn't follow the same seasons as a crossbow. Are there different seasons for longbow and compound bow? Kind of the same thing don't you think?
Never thought I would ever be considering a Crossman product for hunting again. Been quite a long time since I hunted with one...

Charlie Charlie I agree with you. Lots of snobby folks that hunt with their compound bows will disagree though. And I haven't killed anything with a Crossman in 30 plus years but can't wait to check this thing out.

Compound shooters complain about crossbows and will the air bow much like traditional shooters complained about the compound when it was new.
We all need to stick together, as long as it is legal and gets someone hunting enjoy.
