My first thought was it looked like a buck with the antlers sawed off. That seems highly unlikely so broken right at the bases fighting? Shed? Optical illusion? I've gone through all my pictures and can't find anything that resembles this. I have a least one hard-horned button buck hitting that feeder but he has just little sharp points sticking out of his head abut 1/2" This appears to be flatter and bigger in diameter. By the way, there is not a stump in the background either perfectly aligning with his head. Also, date is wrong. Would've actually been 1/21/16 @ 9:12 am.

May be got hung up with another buck and some one cut his antlers off to free him. It's too clean to be broken.

prolly found hung up with another buck and someone cut them off to free him... not uncommon for a buck to brake both sides off also

Looks sawed off from that view. Can't imagine what else could have happened.

I've know people to saw off the antlers on deer that they consider pets, in order to keep them from being attractive targets for hunters. Also keeps them from being quite so dangerous during the rut. During deer season my cousin actually cuts the horns off and spray paints PET in big blue letters down the side of a 10point buck that lives in her yard. People laugh when he makes his way into their feeders, but so far no one has shot him.
