Just curious about the app. I keep hearing people reference the "shooter" app. I searched app's and found one called Shooter. Just wanted to make sure before I spend $9.99.

It's a ballistics calculator. You input data, such as the bullet, muzzle velocity, sight height, and atmospheric conditions, and it gives you your trajectory.

Thanks. I knew that is what it did, just wanted to make sure I downloaded the correct one. I have seen some that were not that great.

It will also collect data from the nearest NOAA weather station, populate temp and DA, and adjust your corrections accordingly. It is an outstanding app, that I use every day.

I use Applied Ballistics.
You can do the calculations at Appliedballistcsllc.com for free. Figure out your own weather parameters that way though.

I have Applied Ballistics, now, but I used Shooter a lot before that. They're very similar. AB has a few things that Shooter doesn't have, but I rarely use those things. The ballistics engine seems to be the same.

I use Shooter all the time, and like it. It will do a whole bunch if you learn how to use everything on it. And yes, the one that is a $9.99 app should be the right one. The logo is a blue and white and orange target.
