I know what to look for (shot peened, HP tested, 1-7twist chrome...) but I want specific quality parts to buy.
Right now im getting ready to order a Timney trigger and would like to stay in that class for parts, not just throw money away, but get performance and reliability for my build.
Thanks for any info

Personally I don't think quality when you say 1/7 chrome. Timney is Ok... CMC is just as good and cheaper IMO.

You have to provide more info on what the intended purpose of the rifle is. Are you hunting, run and gun competitions, or trying to make one ragged hole from the bench? Different parts for different disciplines.

Larue, noveske for top tier barrel Daniel defense and bcm for good barrel
Pick a decent part group spike, Daniels defense, etc
Pick your hand guard and stock

Look at what jp precision and larue use for their barrels
Rainier ultra match Noveske Or go to the barrel maker them selves
Those are for barrels
I think there are better trigger than the timney. It is just meh for the money

Ditch the Timney for a CMC and surround it with Wilson parts.
Just to make sure that it is done thoroughly, I go both ways.

Not sure what type rifle you are wanting to build but for accuracy you will not want a chrome lined barrel. I would add Wilson to the list for barrels. Also consider getting your bolt from the barrel source if they will ensure it is headspaced correctly. You might also consider chambering in 223 Wylde...chambers both .556 and .223 and adds accuracy potential over .556.

Different parts for different disciplines. Just looking to kill anything I point at out to 200 yards, yotes, coons, steel plates, whatever. I just want it to fire every time i pull the trigger. Im an archery hunter, but I have a .270 if needed for midrange whitetails and 7mm for long range big game if needed.

If that's all you want you might be better served buying off the rack.

Personally I like the CHF with 1-7 twist. You can find some good deals at Wilson Combat on their barrels. They also have some nice triggers.
And when I think quality Noveske and BCM always come to mind.

Barrel - 1:8 (Noveske) Trigger - Geissele (SSAE) Handguard - BCM KMR
The rest is just parts...shooter preference!
I am still looking for the perfect apron, one with reinforced knee areas would be perfect. Some people live an entire lifetime & wonder if they ever made a difference in the world, a veteran doesn't have that problem. Reagan

You are kinda right, but I dont want to replace the trigger, then the stock, then the forgrip...I might just go with a mid grade build though. The way I look at it is a 223 isnt a sniper round and the AR isnt a sniper rifle, if I want something for that Ill buy a different platform for that.

I would like something similar to a neveske with my hand picked parts, or I just might go cheap now. If I have to buy Larue or Neveske parts I might as well buy their complete gun.

the RRA above would deliver everything your talking about. Pick your optics and good to go.

That's a heavy gun if you plan on doing much walking or stalking, IMO. Bull barrels are nice for the bench but once loaded down with scope, bipod, etc it gets heavy. The coyote setups are lighter and still accurate enough to reach out 200 yds. Spend the money on the optics and a suppressor, I haven't shot or put together any ar that wouldn't hit decent at 200 yards with the right ammo. But that's just my opinion.

Check out White Oak Armament barrels as well. I have one and it is a tack driver. Never heard a bad thing about them.
