I'll be there Saturday with my boys, always make an effort to go and usually make a day of it. Need a sling for a new rifle so will pick one up to save on shipping. Don't make any large purchases but sometimes "bargains" can be had on Sunday.

We will be there either Thursday or Friday. My wife and I try to go every year. Some years we book a hunt, some years we just enjoy seeing what's there and saying hi to old friends. Kind of wanting a cape buffalo or a moose hunt, but really focusing on building our trophy room this year!!!
I went one time on a Saturday and will never do that again!!!
Too crowded or what? Never been, but may go this year with my dad. Yes. On Thursday and Friday, there will still be a lot of people, but you can walk down the isles easily without getting into too many jams and you can talk to the outfitters without waiting in line. I like looking for deals, talking to new people, but I also know some that I have hunted with before that I like to catch up with. Not fighting a crowd, and not feeling pressure to hurry up so others can talk to the outfitter is also an advantage to going during the week.

Never been but would like to. Could only go on Saturday but I don't do well in crowds so I guess I'll miss it again.

Is it worth going on Sunday? I always want to go but my boss always schedules us to work that Saturday. I know it shuts down early at 3:00.

I usually go Friday Saturday and Sunday. Sunday is the day I narrow down my decisions and talk with the outfitters to get my final information in making my decision to book. Saturday is a freaking mad house and often have to wait on line to talk to outfitters. I spend a lot of time Saturday people watching. So I think Sunday is a very good day to go. Is it worth going on Sunday? I always want to go but my boss always schedules us to work that Saturday. I know it shuts down early at 3:00.

I went last year, a little to high tone for me.
I got bored and am not interested in spending a small fortune at this time in my life. Maybe someday...

There's a list of seminars and times on the DSC website. Is there a list or map of vendors/outfitters to look at before going?

I don't remember what I said in my earlier reply, but my wife has informed me that we are going Thursday. Should be there around 10am. I have absolutely no plans to book a hunt for 2016. I have to build my game room. No matter what, that is my goal for the year. But I might be swayed into booking something for 2017!!!

Taking the family strictly for the experience and maybe bump into a Jim Shockey type celeb that my son will get stoked about.

Taking the family strictly for the experience and maybe bump into a Jim Shockey type celeb that my son will get stoked about. When I lived in CA, I would go to the SCI convention every year they had it in Reno and one year in Vegas. I met the first George Bush there and got his autograph and a picture with my ex wife. I saw Lou Ferigno walking down the isles. Craig Boddinton is always at all the shows, either in a booth or walking around. The best story is from a buddy of mine who was there the day before I got there and hanging out at the booth with the outfitter we hunted in Namibia with. Bo Derrick came up to the booth and asked about hunting there. My buddy is a very tall, surfer looking type guy. He got to telling her about his hunt there and then asked her out to dinner that night. He said they had a nice meal, but that's all that happened.
