I was on a herd of 50-60 pigs yesterday, They sounded like a steamroller running about 15mph, over the top of the forest floor. I couldn't believe how loud it got. I was going to start shooting, but they were running right at us then slammed on the braked and turned left, then slammed on the braked and turned left again, and then started right for us, the 2 run across the road we were walking on and then the herd turnded left again and ran parallel with the fence about 50 yards on the other side. We had another group of pig behind us, and more off in the distance further behind that group. I'm betting there was close to 300 hogs out there , it was insane. Going back this weekend hopeing to drop a few to lead poisioning, and going to set a huge trap. I did shoot one, i heard it run off into the woods and smack a tree, but i couldn't find it.

Mercy...put the hurt to them. Sounds like the 'running of the hogs' instead of the bulls!
Good luck this weekend!

I seen a herd of about 15-20, a 150 lb sow and a bunch of 30 lbers. I tried to get my scope on the sow but they were running and I never got a shot. I should of settled for a little one, it would of been better eating and easier to drag.

This place is just on the other side of down town kaufman, about 10 miles. I've never been in them this thick before, but it was awesome, to see just wish i had a video camera that could have caught it all on tape. Amazing, to see that many hogs ,and hear that many more all around us.

nothing there !! I don't think you could control dog at this place there are so many hogs in all directions. They'd go nuts trying to pick just one to latch onto.

Ok what happed?? We went from seeing over 100 at a time, to 3 or 4 single pigs over the weekend. I have the trap baited with a 25 pound of corn and half a just of pig out poured on some of it. Nothing in the trap for 3 days, and only saw 1 pig myself, and my buddy saw 2 seperate single pigs, once in the morning and once in the evening, not the same either. What can i do to get them to come in again??
