My last day in the stand, nice overcast, no wind, of course no deer. So quiet and peaceful and then the anti aircraft guns start blazing in two different directions. They must be shooting 4ga shotguns! At least they shock gobbled a coule turkeys roosted behind me.

Normaly i would be out west, but work schedule conflict, has kept me home, so i am hunting north east Tx. Turkeys gobbling like crazy, sounds like spring. No deer.

Probably my last hunt as well. There are lots of birds, but that's it. It's a nice East Tx morning so it will probably be a long sit. Good luck to you.

Been in the blind the last couple days. Haven't seen anything that was legal to shoot. Only heard 2 gun shots in the area since I got here.
Hunting just isn't fun anymore,I think I might give it up completely.

Had a decent buck pushing a doe towards food plot, just glimpses of him in the brush, she turned and went straight away. But there is hope!

I have been out the last 4 days and haven't seen anything. My deer aren't even nocturnal anymore. We corned the road and have the feeders going and they haven't touched anything. I don't understand why just all of a sudden they would stop coming all together. I will sit for a little bit more then head home. Good luck everyone

Sitting in a stand in Quanah right now. The snow in the ground is pretty. Saw two small 4 points around 8am. It's cloudy and cold, no breeze. Prob going to be a good mid afternoon hunt. Going to put the stalk on some turks after lunch. Trying real hard to get the wife on some deer

I have killed my biggest deer last week of season. It can be boring and nothing, then in a split second it will change. So I never give up!

I've almost always seen big deer at the end of the season but this season has been different due to all of the rain.

Sat in the stand till I couldn't see anymore and had nothing show up. My son had a young 4 point show up but no shooters.

Getting ready to go to sleep in my blind in Palo Pinto county. Haven't seen a male deer in several days, nothing this afternoon and the hogs haven't even been through tonight. There's a major feed period 1st thing and a minor around lunch, think I'm going to call it a season after that.

Hopefully I can report something exciting tomorrow..
