 Had a present in the trap this AM!

Got a little pig in the trap yesterday and a pretty decent sized sow this morning. Double tap with .45 was the cure after the 223 passed right thru and didn't finish the job  This is the biggest pig I've killed- the big boar remains at large.  My absolute favorite pass time... nothing more relaxing to me than cleaning game. I think this photo shows her size pretty well.. maybe not big by some standards but she is to me!

Thanks y'all! I'm pretty excited about it. Gonna make a roast out of the backstraps tomorrow!
Everyone in the family sort of laughs that I enjoy gutting and skinning, I guess some people consider it the worst part. I happily clean all the game! Different strokes for different folks I guess.

In all fairness, the Glock isn't mine (But I do have a Para Ordnance 1911 that is my go to piece) I just borrowed it from the old man to put the pig down since my AR pistol immediately had a FTE and I didn't want the pig to suffer until it was clear. In all seriousness I do appreciate the kind words and congrats. I LOVE pig hunting this time of the year- no fleas on 'em!
