On my neighbors property outside of Corsicana.
Now, keep in mind, this guy just moved down here from New Jersey.........
He called me yesterday and asked "has that black panther been killing any of your chickens?"
LOL
He said he saw it in the middle of the day out in the open with is dog chasing it. Said it was twice the size of is beagle, was black as midnight and had a long tail.
The thing I found weird is tat something as taken 4 of is chickens and not left a single feather on the ground. I've had dogs and coyotes kill some chickens before and it always looks like a feather pillow busted open.
I went over to look for tracks today and that is what I found, 2 tracks on 8 acres.
I also found one feather pile across the fence going out of is property.
I went over there ready to let him know that there are no black panthers around here, but then found the tracks.
Anyone ever seen a bobcat dark enough to be mistaken as black?

Bobcat, bottom print looks like one print on top of the other so it looks larger than it really is.

I have. In Webb County. Melanistic cat. Jet black with very muted spots. Tried to shoot him but he was 648 yards away and I'm not that good. However, he didn't have a long tail.
