I'll be the first to admit I've done nothing but b**** about the rain all season. However, finally found a timber hole that is consistently holding Mallards...and a lot of them. Limited out in about 15 minutes on Friday with the North wind and turned around and did it again on Saturday. Now I need the lake to get and stay at least 1.75' over pool and it should be game on for awhile. Luckily there is enough flooded timber and enough holes to move around so the birds don't get pushed out. Plus no one else is hunting it - so far. Never had a true flooded green timber hunt in my life - must say it is pretty freaking awesome to watch ducks crash through the canopy to get into a hole.

nice strap! I have been finding a few in flooded timber as well. makes me a want to be timber hunter
