Went to the lease in Real County on Thursday with my dad. Been getting skunked/not seeing a single animal what so ever all season in all my sits. I've had this aoudad on cam for about 2 yrs have been after him ever since first tc pic. Well I finally connected on Thursday first time ever seeing him in person. Got in the blind around 3:20 feeder went off at 4:15 was watching 4 squirrels and probably 30 big fat dove eating corn come 5 o'clock it sounded like a big tree crashed and fell over on the side of the mountain, doves and squirrels vanished. Immediately my heart started pounding after a few minutes of not hearing anything I calmed myself down, after regaining my composure the crashing started again and it was very loud, seemed like ages listening to the sound of a monster coming down the mountain. I was shaking violently and felt like my heart my going to explode as the crashing was getting closer, I knew it was him he stopped right at the brush line all I could see was front legs I grabbed the binoculars looked up and knew for a fact that was him. We played the waiting game for what seemed like hours but in reality was probably 3 or 4 minutes of us staring at each other. I thought to myself this thing has to hear my heart beating he took one step out of the brush looked around then took off running. I grabbed my gun and told myself if he stops that's it. Well I banged my gun extremely hard trying to stick it out the window and he made the mistake of stopping and turning to see where the noise came from. The safety clicked and the .270 roared I could see horns fall in the scope and heard a lot of crashing and kicking. I radioed my dad voice quivering "I shot the big aoudad" he replied just wait give him some time. I told myself wait 30 minutes well 30 seconds later the crashing stopped and I jumped out of the blind with my gun and took off running. To my disbelief he was laying down in the creek bottom, radioed my dad back and said in a very quivering voice "dad I did it i got him he's down, he's down in the creek not moving." He replied hurry up come get me I don't wanna hunt anymore need to see him. I went and picked my dad up and drove back to the stand we tried loading him and couldn't had to gut him on the spot then finally the two of us had him in the ranger. Once he was loaded and the tailgate shut that's when it finally hit me. Two years of trying to pattern him I had finally done it i dropped down to both knees and thanked the lord above and started to tear up my dad hugged me when I stood up and said let's forget the morning hunt he needs to go to the taxi. I'll see you again in 6 months my friend here's the pics 29" on the money symmetrical. Pics coming

Awesome trophy sir
If I send my neighbors a text and ask them to give me feedback on my lawn and plant rye into a giant dong pattern, I'm probably going to get some less than positive feedback. Same goes here.
