I drive in the Paris area quite a bit. I've been seeing a lot of deer in the middle of the day. My son had a big buck run in front of him on the loop about 12:45 PM. Right now if I had a place to hunt I'd stay in the stand all day. They might be coming by while you are at the camp or home.

Maxey and Tigertown area, slow even after the biblical flooding that happen, we recorded 11+ in. of rain. Seen young bucks, some legal ones but small, scattered doe not near the sightings that we normally see. Acorns by the ton, I watched one 14" buck eat under a post oak tree for 25 mins, never lifted his head just vacuum acorns. Our oats and wheat are in excellent shape even after the flood but very rarely do they seem to feed on it, see one once in awhile stop and grab a mouthful. On the other hands very happy at seeing the Eastern wild turkeys bounce back, seeing lots of them, had 10 gobblers come by this weekend then 6 hens then another group of jakes, glad to see that. Guess all we can do is hunt.

Over Thanksgiving weekend I saw nothing. Game cameras are picking up hogs and raccoons. Very few deer, sometimes a solitary doe.
This is also near Roxton.

Hunted yesterday afternoon one 6 Pt. 3 doe, better than nothing. These decided oats were on the menu.
