i just called them to ask about getting a hunting permit, to hunt hogs out there. they told me they were out of them so i had to wait till next year. thats kinda weird if u ask me. u think they would

want all the hogs killed. i am sure most of the permits went to duck hunters too. dont make since to me. is there any other way to get one? i heard u can hunt as long as someone in the group has a permit.

It's been since last season but at that time I
spoke with a rep at the Lewisville office and was
told a permitted hunter could have a "guest" along.
"Guest" may not be the actual wordage but that was
the idea. I did go along on this type deal with
Guy (he put me on my 1st teal) as the sole permitted hunter.
We were checked by a TX game warden and all he cared
about is state license, limits and such. Did not get
asked about permits or even Hunter Safety Cert.
The corp rangers will check on these things.
I'd say call that office and ask specifically about
the current rules.

That is a bummer.
I've seen LOTS of sign out there
fishing the creeks, pigs and deer.
(I know, deer aren't an option, I'm just say'n).
Heck, take some ultralight tackle
and go do some scouting for next season!
Crappie and white bass are ON.

Were you just wanting a different option besides Lavon? Because we have plenty of pigs out here.

i live 2 min.from LL corp property and have for 4 1/2 yrs..i have walked from eldorado to 380 around the banks of LL and yes there are hogs and deer (no hunting on the deer)but not too many tracks on the hogs ..trust me i've put in alot of time to find the hogs..if it were legal i would have traps out there.and yes each person has to have a permit everyone has to have hunters safety to get the permit

The corp used to hire a trapper on the north side of 380....

Duane call the city of Denton and see if you can get a permit to hunt that track of land.....it is leased by the City.....
