He battled it out with me all week, Thurs night the sleet and snow started and never quit when we left today. Friday morning we had 12degree windchils almost all day, we packed lunches had hot chocolate and coffee with us in the stand. We decided to sit all day Friday and Saturday. We seen deer all day, so there was never a dull moment. We watched several 10's and a 12pt chasing does that were still to young to shoot. I've had a 10 that was a target buck for him to take. At 12:45pm we were watching a lot of deer, I look down on the river and seen the 10 we been after, seen the trail he was taking and was going to lead right to us. Told him get ready he's coming to us. He was wanting to use my custom 6.5-284. I see the buck range him at 218yrds, told him put it right on him when you got the clear shot take it. About 5 seconds later he shoots, I said you got him. We high fives for seems like mins and the smile never stopped.
