I don't have any of my load books at hand, and correct me if I'm wrong, but a 75 gr bullet from a 223 at 3000 fps sounds rather hot to me. I don't shoot that bullet weight, so maybe I'm just not up to speed on how fast that bullet can be safely pushed.

i was a bit supersized but all indicators are green to proceed, so I'm going to enjoy it for now. 25grns is yielding 3030fps, but seem to be right on the edge w the suppressor and totally fine w/o, the bolt lift and the rear of the case/primer looked good. I backed it down 1/2 grain to 24.5 and am getting ~3000 a couple under a couple over..... the gun is shooting ~1/2-3/4" as is but I going to play with the seating depth and see if i can draw it in a little tighter. I will follow up with target pics in a few weeks. basicly I'm getting .223AI performance out of a standard chamber what's funny I was going to be happy with 2750fps.....

Sweet rifle!
You're making almost as much velocity as I am, with the same bullet out of a 24" suppressed .22-250. Shows how efficient the .223 case is.

8208 is an awesome powder i may rework my 22-250 load w/ this and see what happens....... If only someone would make a quality 2-stage trigger for the Tikka...........

Dang fine rifle you have there. I'm a huge fan of a 223 bolt gun.
Which mags are you using? I hear of issues with the tikka action and ai 223 mags.

Two Tikkas with CDI bottom metal, and A.I. mags. No trouble at all.

Sorry, no. I didn't realize you were .223 specific, my bad.
6.5 Creedmoor and 7mm-08, so of course .308 A.I. mags.

Accurate mag makes a metal mag that is awesome. its their standard 5 or 10 w a special insert. it did choke down the 75's quite a bit but it was easily modifiable. I have a usable 2.58" oal.

Nice, planning on a KRG chassis for my next build, 4 month wait is killer though.
