I ran to the ranch late Saturday for Sunday's hunt. Even though we only had 3 Green headed mallards drop in, my season could not have started any better. They circled, I hit them with the old faulks call and they turned on a dime and dropped through a saddle in the sycamores across the pond. Seconds later they were feet down at 20 yards. I called it and crushed the one on the left. I went to the middle one which has been missed twice by other hunters and crushed it too. By that time I saw the 3rd mallard escaping the right side of the blind. my brother sits on the right and missed 3 times Oh wait it gets better. We got out to get the dog lined out and the 3rd bird came back. Brother goes boom boom boom Miss miss miss. Bwahaaaaaaa that opened to door for some subtle "you suck" comments all morning long. So Wano- two shells two greenheaded birds. Brother-6 and 0 Out Ohhh ohhhhh this is going to be great!!!!!!

He struggles with right hand, left eye dominant. Don't let him fool you, when he is on He is unbeatable. When he is off he shoots like a re-re. I have my good and bad as well. I just love it when it is his turn to eat the doo doo samich.

Oh yeah I understand that! I have wandering dominance. It's why I got a big neon hunk of plastic on the end of my barrel. I tried that on a suggestion and I think I've seen a shooting improvement but I really don't see it (the easy sight) when I'm gunning.

Has he tried patch, Vaseline or black dot on left lense? Works wonders for cross eye dominance. Scotch tape works as well Not that you want to fix him or anything, just saying

It's easier to just shoot left handed. My dad bought me a right handed bow when I was a kid and taught me to shoot right handed because he was. I found out that I was left eye dominant when I was in the Army and missed several nice bucks. I ended up getting frustrated and learned to shoot everything (except a tank) left handed. Much easier when your instincts take over.

I just really appreciate the days when he is not on fire
