Man you are KILLING me! I miss it so much I could cry. Was it a brace trial or SPO? Your dogs look like they're in really good shape. Are they gunned as well?

I drove to Iola,TX to a trial, where I was going to buy a dog that was about to finish. I had cash with me and was hyped to finally get my hands on what could possibly be my first champion, and foundation sire for my kennel. I watched those brace dogs try to run SPO. It was so pitiful that I left after the first go round with my money in my pocket. Those dogs just stood in one place and howled. The one that howled the loudest was said to have "run" the most rabbit. There was a guy there who wanted to buy some dogs for his young son to hunt with. I told him to look elsewhere, cause those dogs wouldn't cut it in the woods. Good to see that you hunt with yours. I prefer it to deer any day.

Man, those are some good looking dogs. I have tons of rabbit here and really like beagles, but couldn't really figure out a way around running into some angry javelina so I talked myself out of it.
Congrats, sounds like it's a really fun hunt to do.

As a kid my dad, step brother, my dad's friend and I hunted rabbits in Missouri from the first frost till the last frost, every weekend practically. That was some of the most fun I've ever had in my life. Running rabbits with beagles is a pure joy. Would love to do it again some time.
The Federal Government cannot give anything to anyone, that it has not first taken from someone else.

Good looking hounds there. Hunted rabbits with beagles in KY in the 90s. Loved it.
