Has anybody had any experience with this rifle? Any problems or issues? Accuracy? What about any ideas on stock replacement? I found a pretty nice one from Boyd's. Just checking, I traded for one yesterday and haven't had a chance to get it out yet.

Field and Stream reviewed that rifle about 2 years ago. Compared it to 4 others and the Marlin was the clear winner. Sorry they don't make it anymore now that Marlin has been sold.

I have the XL7 in .270. It is a great rifle for the price, very accurate with cheap Winchester power points. I've shot several groups under an inch, many with shots touching.
Really like the trigger.
