I think I need to get a spotting scope. I'd rather, overall, keep it realatively cheap so I don't feel so guilty about spending more on scopes. I know it doesn't make too much sense but just the way I justify it. I want to be able to see 30 cal holes at 300-400yds.
Any good recommendations? I was looking at something like a cheap Bushnell but lookin to really stay around $100-150 and absolutely no more than about $200.
I'm a dude who likes long barrels!

The 80mm Konus has a decent reputation for an inexpensive spotter. I have a 100mm which is a little more money, and it's not bad for an inexpensive spotter; it's gigantic though.
I'm ambivalent about Konus for a number of reasons, but the 100mm spotter was a good decision.

Upgrade your rifle scope. I have three different rifle scopes that can see bullet holes in white paper at 300 yards.
