0% chance of rain and at 1 am rained almost half an inch. Main roads fine but blinds roads are nasty.
The blind i like to hunt feeder stopped two weeks ago due to bad battery I put in a week before. Rattled in 2 bucks still with no feed anywhere this morn. They rarely go to feeder anyway here. Other guys only saw one buck or pigs. Back at it with golden corn spread everywhere except I don't think they care.

Saw lots of does and had one nice buck come close this morning until he got my scent. Overall great opening day. Have to work tomorrow so I'll be back out next weekend.

Drizzled all dang day. Saw a few spikes, javelina, and quail. Better than nothing I suppose.

Just got back from North Navarro county, Union Pacific had our exit closed (still cleaning up derail) Got the ATV stuck 1 time going in. Several feeders had large moats around them! Cannot get to my stand closest to the river, went to back up stand. 5:20 dropped a nice size boar, a doe walked up to about 35-40 feet of the stand. But we almost didn't make it back out.The road was torn up from us going in... Going to let it dry for a few days, before going back.

I missed yesterday morning but made it out today. Calm and cool 41 degrees in central Eastland county.
A bird just landed on my platform stand then lit on the barrel of my rifle....that must mean I'm being still enough.

I'm glad everyone else is seeing deer. Makes up for me not seeing anything in almost a week.
Hunting in magnolia would be better in a gated community.
