Anywhere between 5 and 6 from home in south Austin to our place in Val Verde county depending on how many times the wife needs to stop. considering we go out there about twice a month year round you would think the pickup would know it's way by now.

About 5 hours. Worth it to be in true west Texas.

Right at 2:20 door to door. Hunted the same general area since 1989. Due to increased traffic getting out of DFW heading west, I usually take a half day off on Fridays so am on the road no later than 1:00.

Just under 2 hours. Not bad. Hopefully there won't be TMS traffic on 114 at 1 tomorrow. I can't stand driving 35 through Denton on a Friday.

4.5 hours, I wish it was a shorter drive but I've been doing it for 8 years now so I've accepted that it is what it is.

About 2 hours. Wylie to Thurber. Last couple of leases were also about a 2 hour drive, but to the east. Sure am glad to be out of east Texas for a change.

We used to hunt Sutton County and that was 5 hours on blacktop and then 45 minutes of dirt roads to get to the cabin.
Now its 45 minutes to Wise County or an easy two hours to R-Star

I have 3 leases. From my door one is a 200 acre bow lease (my choice on bow only, not a rule) 10 minutes to the south. Another is a 600 acre gun and bow lease 45 minutes to the north. The other is a 300 acre gun and bow 35 minutes to the west.
Silver spurs and gold tequila keep me hanging on. Pretty girls and old cantinas give me shelter from the storm.
