Got them here. In fact, had a boar in my front yard last night eating acorns under my Live oak trees.

We have very few acorns here this year. Deer are eating corn better than I've seen in last 30 years! Last year was completely opposite !

Most of my good acorns are Live Oak.

Unfortunately, Spanish oaks are dropping big time. I guess I'll be hunting my stand on the oak ridge.

We have a good crop at our place in E. Tx., but the deer have been hittin the corn real good. Don't know if the acorns don't taste good this year or what. Never seen our deer do this. Now, that was almost 2 weeks ago. May have changed by now.

Silver spurs and gold tequila keep me hanging on. Pretty girls and old cantinas give me shelter from the storm.

I always hear about the acorns "souring" with wet conditions. I cant count how many deer I have caught in hog traps baited with soured milo and corn and how many times I have hog hunted over soured milo and corn only to have deer walk past plain dry shell corn and eat the soured stuff. Seems they would eat soured acorns too?

No, this was before any rains. Also, in the past, I've seen the acorns floating on top of the water in sloughs. Once the water went down, they were back eating those same acorns.

The deer where I am couldn't care less about corn right now. They may take a bite if they have to walk over it, but otherwise the acorns are killing me. Very little movement with all of the acorns...

for once I'm missing all the pine thickets of southwest Arkansas... at least the deer came to corn and you could see who was out there. Plus, the acorns were very concentrated due to few oak flats, so you could usually find the deer concentrated a little better. I'll catch on sooner or later...

They are thick here but deer are rutting also so still good hunting.. I mowed down a good section that's covered in good oaks every year planning on the acrons.. the deer love not having to search in grass, brush for acorns and will be covered up in this spot since they have a nice clean ground to find them easier

Since the big rain last week, I have acorns everywhere. Some places that's all you are walking on!!! My regular deer that come to my food plot, corn and mineral lick like clockwork have all disappeared. I'm hoping for some serious rut activity this weekend because I don't have any faith in my food plot until the acorns are gone

Acorns dropped within past 2 weeks in Hopkins County...dropped late. We noticed them last weekend during Youth weekend, but they had not dropped two weeks prior.
