Does anyone know where to get a CETME rifle for less than $700.

There are good and bad CETME rifles. I had a Century that was really bad. I would look for a FAL. It is a much better gun. If a CETME is what your heart is set on I would go with a PTR-91.

I was only looking for one since I shot a HK 91 that I like but I don't want to pay the HK 91 price

You may not be happy with any CETME that goes for $700. Someone will post and say they love theirs. But, you get what you pay for. FN FAL will always come through. As to the HK, I hunted with one for a couple of years when I lived Idaho and loved it. High marks for quality and reliability.Unfortunately, the price is ridiculous today.

God is so good to me.

The original HK G3 rifles are fabulous and some of the G3 clones are very good like the PTR-91. I still kick myself for not building an IMBEL FAL 4 years ago when parts were cheap and plentiful. The FAL is a tad on the heavy side but accuracy and reliability are exemplary. I had the pleasure of shooting an Austrian STG58 FAL a couple of years ago it was an outstanding weapon.
