Just got permission to hunt a piece of land in Collin county, but seeing as Collin county is bow only I'm looking to make the step toward bow hunting now. I'm looking in the 150 range definitely cant go over 200. Used or new. Mainly for deer but being able to down a hog is important. What do yall recommend as a starter bow and draw weight? I've looked at PSE Novas and Barrett Archery Vortex Hunters but any recommendations would be awesome. Appreciate it!
I love lamp

ta Archery... Might get more results from Bow hunting forum on here... Keep in mind each has their own opinions... i started with 60# Indian bow... Went to a 70# PSE POLARIS Express, it was on sale, later realized one limb had slight twist... Still acurate ta ta deer & hogs... Mines laid up cause of shoulder problem... Think you'll enjoy Archery... Several places, Gander Mnt, Accadamy have area's ya can try different bows out... At OSBWMA were would be on archery hunt if not for shoulder, most use Mathews ... They little more pricey, paying for name brand... Not sure bout other but PSE makes great bow's.. Hopefully more will give their if not check the Archery -Bow Hunting threads... Best Wishes...
