My boss took me down to Mexico last week to do some duck, dove, and quail hunting. It was one heck of a time. We shot pintails, redheads, buffleheads, blue wing, green wing, & cinnamon teal. Here are a few pictures. The rattlesnake you see was caught alive by that guide in the picture.

Here is the website, http://www.lchunting.com/. I have been to this place 3 times now and the service and hunting experience is great. I have been during whitewing season and the combo season and both are great. It's American owned and all the guides speak english. I believe they have over 500,000 acres leased for hunting.

Beer of the world beware. I'll kill an 18 pack just to watch it die.

Website for lodge is above. I am not sure the bag limits for Mexico, but this lodge implements a 15 duck per person limit in order to have great hunting throughout the season. Dove hunting has no limits.

Somebody needs to explain this stuff to me. Everyone knows stuff is cheaper in Mexico...however when it comes to hunts it's like at least twice as much as a top guided hunt with meals and lodges are here in Texas. What's up with that? Not to mention all the crazy fees and cost of shells.

Congrats!

Those are some nice birds.

I don't know if there is a limit on ducks in Mexico, if there is, it's a lot.

Funny how we have special seasons and one bird limits on pintails when you can just go to Mexico and stack 'em up.

I need to go down there sometime.

Under the North American Waterfowl Management Plan, each signatory country is allotted a specific number of birds they can harvest. That number is divided amongst the number of hunters in each country, which is how limits are established. Because Mexico has virtually no waterfowl hunting, the limits are substantially higher. Mexico comprises less than one percent of the total North American harvest of waterfowl.

The allowable number of birds is determined by the aerial surveys of breeding pairs and the May pond counts. In the US, those numbers are plugged into the Adaptive Harvest Management matrix, which establishes closed, restrictive, moderate or liberal seasons. We've been in the liberal framework for more than a decade now, though we've slid towards moderate recently.

Ok, that settled it for me.

More numbers of ducks, quail, and dove.
No season and apperantly no regulations.
No more Latin Americans since they are all in Texas.

Yep, i'm moving to Mexico....
